Franco-American Flag

Franco American FlagSeveral years ago it was decided by most of the Franco American organizations of New England to design a flag which would give an identity to the people of French descent established in the United States. The flag was officially adopted by the Northeast United States on May 29, 1983 in Manchester, New Hampshire by the Assembly of Franco-Americans and on August 5, 1983 it was adopted in Makinac, Michigan. The flag was designed by Attorney Robert Couturier of Lewiston Maine. Robert was a co-founder of ActFANE and he was also a founding member of l’Assemblée des Franco-Américains.     we are Christelle and Jerome from Bayonne in the south west of France. We are 38 and 40 years old. We would like to travel in US specialy in the South or on the 66th road with an harley davidson (later, in New York to realize the dream of the jerome’s daughter).     Le Centre de la francophonie des Amériques, situé à Québec, célébrera au mois de mai prochain, le 5e anniversaire de la loi votée à l’Assemblée nationale du Québec et qui visait à créer le Centre. Pour cette occasion, nous allons faire flotter au vent les drapeaux des différentes communautés francophones dans les Amériques. Pourriez-vous me dire si le drapeau franco-américain que vous montrez sur cette page concerne l’ensemble des Franco-Américains du Maine, du Vermont, du New Hampshire, du Massachusetts, du Connecticut et du Rhode Island ?
